Last minute July breaks in the Cotswolds
With the summer upon us we are all looking to escape from the grind for a while. Why not discover the Cotswolds and spend a dreamy getaway in one of our famous Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty where little lanes and quaint stone houses are quintessentially British?
What to see and do?
Not only are the Cotswolds beautiful and historic, they’re also brilliantly cultural and offer something for the entire family. Throughout the summer especially there are all types of events taking place such as the Stratford-upon-Avon River Festival with lots of entertainment and activities and the Cheltenham Music Festival in July or the Cheltenham Literary Festival later in the year with a great selection of guest speakers.
For younger visitors there’s no end of fun things. Don’t miss out on a visit to Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park. Adam is a farmer and presenter best known for his slot on the BBC’s Countryfile. Or visit Birdland and go on a Jurassic journey in Bourton-on-the-Water discovering lovely gardens, over 130 bird species and a special trail for children.
Where to stay?
We have a great range of properties that offer holidays for all occasions, with around 100 dotted throughout the area. There are a range of shapes and sizes, each beautifully furnished and ideal for a self-catering getaway. Not sure where to start looking? Here are our top four Cotswold properties:
