What happens if I choose not to take my holiday for a reason other than government restrictions preventing the property being available at all?

There are a number of possible reasons you may not wish to take your holiday or choose not to even though the government is allowing holiday homes in England to reopen from 4th July. For example, you may be concerned about mixing different households in the same holiday home, you or others in your party may be instructed to self-isolate or be instructed to continue shielding. Unfortunately, this does not entitle you to a refund as it is your personal situation that is preventing you from staying, not a total government restriction on the use of holiday homes. In this instance we would refer you to your travel insurance and will do as much as we can to support any claim. We are also more than happy to ask the homeowner if they would allow you to move your booking, however this is entirely at their discretion.
