The Blencowie Estate is beautifully peaceful and Wythburn Cottage nestles neatly within it.

A lovely, well equipped cottage in a great location. Excellent communication from the owners prior to our arrival including information about the local area. We enjoyed the lovely welcome hamper with lots of local touches too.

Wonderful location and fantastic accommodation. Quiet and peaceful but with easy access to the Lake District and other places of interest like Hadrian’s Wall.

The cottage was amazing. It was spotless and had everything you could possibly need. We absolutely loved the welcome hamper. Christine and jilly from the management team were so helpful answering all our queries regardind covid promptly . We will definitely stay here again.

We have stayed in many cottages over the years, but Wythburn was outstanding in cleanliness and in the equipment provided. The food hamper supplied was excellent, facilities great, and the location was good. Lovely place.

As with all our rentals with Rural Retreats, the standard of cleanliness was excellent. Great facilities throughout, in particular the high number of bedrooms with en suites. Not forgetting the super welcome hampers.

very nice property, everything good quality, would come back. Only 2 issues - rather cold on arrival, could it be warmed up as the underfloor heating on ground floor was not too effective? and plastic egg cups? only a small thing but when you like a boiled egg.......
