A glorious holiday. So many places to explore on the doorstep and such a treat to not have to always get in the car. We had such a lovely week and the hosts were exceptionally lovely.

Lovely, spacious house with everything you could need. Beautiful spot, amazing views. Very quiet and peaceful. Easy walk down to Mill Cove and then a short walk to foot ferry to Salcombe which meant little need for driving/ parking. Close to sea kayaking/ SUP centre. Able to hire a boat from Salcombe to explore harbour area. All in all a brilliant holiday for us and the children (11 & 14).

We had a very nice stay at Apple Barn. Location was peaceful and views from the barn were wonderful. A great place to relax and enjoy the coastal walks. The Barn was comfortable and well equipped. A place to return to..

It’s our 4th visit to this beautiful place. We love the views down the valley,looking at the cows in the field, the walk down to the beach and the ferry trip over to Salcombe. Everything in the house is as we would like - clean, comfortable and well appointed.

Great location and comfortable cottage

Beautiful well kept cottage with the most fabulous views and really good amenities. Great location, just a 15 minute walk to Mill Bay beach and the boat to Salcombe while the glorious Gara Rock is on the doorstep. The hosts were very attentive and helpful and we could not have asked for more from a holiday. 100% recommend.

Such an idyllic isolated spot but still within walking distance to the coast and the regular ferry service to Salcombe. The property was warm, clean and very well equipped. We would certainly like to return with friends or family.

Apple Barn is placed in a beautiful landscape, it had everything we needed for our stay. It is a touch tired in places, but felt like a home from home. We and especially Bramble enjoyed the walk down the bridle path to mill cove.

Pearler of a property. Everything you need for a perfect week away: spectacular field views from lounge and patio, luxurious bathroom (I had a hot bath most nights), well-appointed kitchen (sharp knives, good cooker, washer, tumbler, dishwasher and even a set of scales and a hand mixer), comfy big bed. Super clean. Plenty of cleaning materials to refresh it mid-week inc a vac.

We had an amazing week at Apple Barn, really well appointed and extremely homely. The views from the lounge and sunsets were just amazing and the walks right on your doorstep especially down to the beach just perfect. We were so lucky with the weather for the time of year and are really looking forward to a return visit whatever the weather, Gary, Louise and Lottie (🐶).

Good location apart from travelling along very narrow roads, accommodation clean, slight smell of damp in the downstairs bedroom. Access to first floor bedroom via a vertical ladder dangerous ?
