Beautiful village, well located for getting out and about, marvellous outlook across deer park, good sized main living areas, very well equipped, very clean. And parking on the street (two cars) wasn't a problem. One or two minor points (but they don't detract from the 5 star rating) such as the slow draining bathroom washbasin, loose hand shower fitting, loose wardrobe door hinge. But these are just maintenance issues. The bedrooms were quite a snug size, there was a lack of window ventilation in the living room. But the main issue for some might be the two flights of stairs, which are quite steep and have a tight bend at the top - bit awkward descending if you're knees aren't brilliant and you're carrying something! The presence in the vicinity of swifts, buzzards and a kite (as well as the herd of roe deer) were a real bonus. All in all a great place, we'd certainly use it again.

There is a very large drop off a wall in the garden dangerous for dogs and children . There was a sign in the property last September on our visit saying this was having a balustrade fitted imminently! We have returned 9 months later and the same sign is still there but no balustrade. A serious accident about to happen! Parking was an issue but this is highlighted before visit but not great for packing/unpacking on arrival/ departure. Still a stunning property with amazing views

Property was immaculate and well equipped. High specification throughout property. Very steep steps in garden with no handrail or barrier which was tricky with small dog But amazing views from garden. Welcome hamper was just tea/coffee /biscuits which we didn’t realise as use to the Bread/breakfast pack so will check in future as dissapointed we had to go back out for supplies when we arrived. Great location and local cafe well worth a visit .

The property was beautiful. Perfect setting with high quality fittings and appliances. Lots of nice touches. Superb location. Communal areas very comfortable and beds were terrific. Cooling on the upper floor was difficult. Check-in and out process was easy but 4.00pm check-in and 10.00am check-out is an utter disgrace. That is the theft of over a calendar day during our stay allegedly to clean the property. This compares very unfavourably with other accommodation options. It does not take 6hrs to clean a house and hints at a company working for their own convenience rather than the customer's. Parking can be problematic too.

Spotlessly clean, well designed property with quality furnishings and beautiful views. The garden was lovely and we would definitely had used it more had the weather been warmer. The only downside to the property was the parking but we managed to find a space on most occasions and when we couldn’t we were able to park on the nearby community centre car park. Would definitely return if we were in the area.

Very comfortable and clean cottage. House next door being renovated so some noise when in the garden or front bedroom window was open, plus the vans of the trades people made parking awkward. When I originally booked property was advertised with parking for 2 cars. Rather misleading. Also rubbish recycling instructions were confusing and bins not marked to designate type of waste. Enjoyed our stay but given there were niggles, it felt expensive for a weekly October let.
