We were a large family group age range 2 to 86 Bearwood house and cottage was great for everyone We were very lucky with the weather best week so far this year The house/cottage and gardens were lovely We loved the views and sunsets whist we sat at the outside table The games room and hot tub where well used. We loved the space and peace and quiet Some of our group used the bikes to go into Pembridge takes about 10 minutes Our 5 year old granddaughter learned to ride her pedal bike whilst we were there. Yes the floorboards creaked but we felt this added to the ambiance of the place. You need a car to explore the area.Heteford has some lovely towns and villages. I would not hesitate to recommend Bearwood house for large groups Thankyou Lucy for the lovely hampers especially the home cooked produce.

Beautiful properties and location. We loved the games room and hot tub. The owners were incredibly helpful and welcoming, we had lovely welcome hampers in both properties and the kitchen was the best equipped I’ve stayed in - we didn’t have to worry about enough pots, pans and utensils for our group. One minor comment would be that there is only 1 shower between the 2 properties, plenty of baths with shower heads though and it wasn’t a problem for our group but just worth mentioning. All-in-all a great stay, would definitely book again!

We enjoyed a fantastic week at Bearwood as a big family group. The house and cottage suited our number perfectly and there was ample space inside the house, kitchen, dining area and outside in the gardens. We found the rooms immaculate with very nice decor and well thought out for visitors. The house is set in beautiful countryside and the gardens were perfect for little ones to run around (loved the swing!), we all enjoyed the games room when it rained. A special week in a special house, we'd love to return!

What can I say….Idyllic location and secluded so the kids could make as much noise as they wanted! We were able to book both the House and Cottage for a family getaway. Huge dining room to accommodate all of us all with ease. Games room which was used every day by kids and adults, and best of all the hot tub!! Lovely garden area which hosted family sports events!! Host was lovely and extremely helpful during the stay with recommendations. Would totally recommend to others. Thank you for allowing us to make lots of amazing memories!

An excellent place for my family get together. The accommodation is of high quality, the location is good and the extras (games room, bikes, etc.) really good. I have only one quibble, apart from the noisiest floorboards I have ever heard. There is only one bathroom (on the ground floor of the house) with a proper shower. We ended up with a queue waiting to use it because showering with a hand-held spray whilst sitting in the bath is not what is expected nowadays. As. I say, this is a quibble because I would certainly go there again.

Bearwood House and Cottage turned out to be an excellent base for our fifteen strong family holiday. Our age range was 8 to 80 years old. We enjoyed the peaceful location, used the extensive range of facilities, bikes, games room, hot tub, outdoor and indoor spaces and were not disappointed in any way. During the week we ventured out to play golf & tenpin bowling, had an afternoon karting and another afternoon kayaking on the Wye..... the time seemed to go by far too quickly. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful - Lucy was especially kind. And we thank God for being able to enjoy his creation and an amazing family reunion.
