Just what we were looking for.

Very clean, very well appointed. Peaceful and beautiful location. Loved having family over for an alfresco lunch with farm animals about. Thanks for a great stay.

Very clean, fully equipped accommodation. Beautiful surroundings and so peaceful. We would definitely recommend this for 6 adults. a perfect retreat. Launde Abbey a short distance away with fantastic Sunday lunch. Foxton Locks, Rutland Water all easy to get to. The homemade meals were absolutely delicious and massive. we couldn't have asked for more from a short break. Fabulous.

Lovely property, very comfortable and clean. Great to be able to see many of the farm animals up close. Whilst being in the countryside it is also a fairly driveable and handy location for visiting the Richard 111 exhibition in Leicester, Oakham, Rutland Water and Uppingham. We bought two of the prepared meals from the farm and they were delicious and good value.

Exceptional cottage. Well appointed and super comfortable, we had 3 weeks there as a family of 4 and our girls (2 & 4) didn’t want to leave. Seeing the animals every day was their idea of heaven especially seeing the kid goats born. Rural living was everything we wanted it to be. Big thanks to James for all of his help, he couldn’t have done more for us.

We had a fabulously relaxing holiday in Stables Cottage. We loved being somewhere so beautifully quiet and away from it all and particularly enjoyed seeing all the animals especially goats Jack and Thelma. The accommodation was first class and the thoughtful welcome pack of goodies much appreciated. We would highly recommend.

Stables Cottage is a very well equipped cottage in a lovely peaceful setting. We were welcomed with a beautiful hamper and had pre booked a homemade meal for our first evening which was waiting in the fridge for us on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a really special 3 night family get together

Wonderful house with everything we needed and more - especially all the beautiful farm animals perfect retreat and marvellous hamper! Comfy clean and suited the six of us expertly. We will be back please

Good facilities and quality of furnishings. One room backs onto the next accommodation and noise travels freely between the two. Farm animals are a bonus and we bought food from the farm which was very tasty.

Everything perfect! Would have appreciated a casserole dish is only minor niggle. Great quality, location and comfort.

A fabulous find, beautiful accommodation in a really peaceful spot. Lovely surroundings. My daughter and her friend enjoyed the farm yard animals. Welcome hamper has to be the best we’ve experienced. James was a great host. Would definitely return and recommend.

Beautiful location. Excellently equipped. Very clean. Comfortable and relaxing.

The Stables was beautifully laid out, everything you needed in the kitchen and the bathrooms were fitted to a very high standard. There was 4 of us on this trip - I think the dining room table might have been a bit cramped with 6. The location is just perfect for meeting with friends based North and South with the farm animals being a bit of a bonus.

Ideal holiday accommodation for our requirements. Dog-friendly, on-site walks and 30 mins drive from home. Spacious accommodation, comfy beds and good WiFi. Friendly hosts and would happily recommend to others. Lovely countryside location.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely setting. Really well appointed and equipped. Sausages and bacon were a real treat. Had a lovely long weekend.
