Walesby House was perfect in every way for a group of 8 friends to spend a long weekend together. The beds were so comfortable with lovely feather pillows and duvets. The towels were soft and fluffy and the toiletries provided smelt gorgeous. The kitchen was very well equipped and the snooker table provided hours of entertainment! Lucy was quick to respond to any queriers and clearly wanted to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The welcome pack was lovely and the plentiful supply of logs much appreciated. The house was very warm and hot water plentiful. We all agreed that Walesby House felt very comfortable and luxurious.

Just had a long weekend with the family at Walesby House near Market Rasen. The house itself is beautiful and well modernised inside. Stripped wood floors with rugs and underfloor heating kept us all cosy in very cold weather, and the bedding, pillows etc. helped with that too! The house was very large so our grandchildren were able to move about freely without being told to stop. Bedrooms beautiful mostly with good views and very comfortable. The main bathroom was large with a free standing bath and large walk-in shower. The main ensuite was likewise large and nice to be in. Lots of toilets both upstairs and downstairs! There was a large lounge with an open fire and a Sonos sound system in this and other rooms. The kitchen was very well equipped, including instant boiling water, and with a very large range more than capable of cooking for 10. Good dining table with lots of room in a separate dining area next to the kitchen. The snug was very cosy and with a large television which was a great place for the baby of the family and still near to everybody. Utility room was well equipped with washing machine and dryer and lots of cupboard space. Several times we thought something was missing, but a good look in all the cupboards almost invariably turned up what was required. The snooker room was well used with a great half size table and the boot room inside the back (main) door ideal for outdoor equipment, coats and, well, boots! Garden was lovely (not completely enclosed) though the weather dictated that we stayed mostly indoors. Our children and their kids went to a local farm (Hall Farm) which they enjoyed very much, and though we didn't go, the house is not far from the East coast. Plenty of parking, and Tesco less than 3 miles away. Overall would thoroughly recommend for a long or short stay.

Fabulous house in a lovely countryside position. Exceptionally well equipped. Beds sooo comfy and big. Can't fault our stay there, except, disappointed that we had to make a special trip out just to buy kindling and firelighters for the open fires. Surely when you are paying this much money for a house it is a bit mean not to provide these items with the logs provided. The fact that these two items are not provided should be made clear in the house details. Now we are aware of this, we would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful well equipped property in stunning, peaceful, rural location. Helpful owners very responsive when we had a power cut & kept us updated on utility company progress & resetting the alarm etc The property welcomed dogs (utility space, dog bowl etc) and it would make a dog owners’ holiday far more relaxed if the garden was fully enclosed on the road side, as traffic can come past too fast despite 30 sign at end of garden. Dogs needed to be kept on leads while children were playing football etc to prevent them chasing after them into the road. Dogs were not always happy about this 😄 Also duvets were very heavy weight and no sheets were provided during high summer so we had to remove the duvets from their covers to use separately. Especially as hot water pipes seemed to be warming the room through gaps in the beautiful wood floors upstairs. Neither was a major irritation and this was a repeat stay but these few little tweaks would make the property absolutely faultless.

Stayed at Walesby House for 2 nights as a family group of 9 adults, 1 toddler and 3 dogs. We arrived early and were given entry to the property and were also allowed a late checkout which was a bonus. The property is excellent for a group gathering, the owners have thought about absolutely everything and I have never visited a property so well equipped and the welcome hamper was a nice touch. The only very slight niggle I had was the garden although large and beautiful was not enclosed but is stated on the website so I'm not complaining and wouldn't hesitate to visit again.
