A very enjoyable holiday from start to finish with Caroline (the Housekeeper) advising of key code to get in (and helping to return 2 aprons we left behind), the large house being warm and very comfortable, lovely garden with small fountain, a large welcome pack, plenty of kitchen equipment/utensils, beds are huge and bedding! Plenty of walks surround the village and two nearby pubs, The Clanfield Tavern being our favourite (good food, good prices). Very quiet and surrounding area pretty with interesting villages especially Bampton.

Hunter Court is a beautiful country retreat. My group of 5 friends enjoyed a spacious stay with double bedrooms and 4 en suite bathrooms. Downstairs works wonderfully well with an excellent sized kitchen and separate laundry, kitchen island to gather as a group of helping hands, at one end was a lovely conservatory style dining room with doors and views opening out to the pretty garden and field of sheep and orchard beyond the garden wall. At the other end of the open plan kitchen is a very comfortable lounge area with large screen and a cosy log burning fire. Sadly for us the word and firefighters promised at booking were not provided and this is the main reason for my 4/5star. My number one priority was an open fireplace or wood burning stove. The house was warm but the scene we had hoped for and expected could not quite be achieved without the stove. The housekeeper when contacted said that the house amenities switch to BBQ instead from April to October but this is NEVER mentioned in the booking details despite the BBQ dates being made clear. This would be more acceptable had the outside furniture been clean and made ready for use for the summer season and slippery stone patio been power washed. The ‘season change’ seemed more that we could not have a stove lit and that didn’t suit us. However I highly recommend the house. A glorious place to spend time away and with 2 very good pubs minutes away on foot. A half hour drive from Daylesford Farm too which was a bonus where we enjoyed morning yoga sessions and lunch and shopping.

We had such a wonderful stay at Hunter Court. The house is stunning, inside and out. Every need was catered for - complete luxury. There were so many lovely and cosy rooms to sit in, the kitchen was generously well-stocked, the beds so comfortable and the bath towels huge and fluffy. It’s located in a perfect spot, close to so many other picturesque villages and scenic drives. We really loved our time there. Ten out of ten!

Our extended family of 8, including 3 teenagers, enjoyed our weekend in this large and very comfortable house. The bonus supplies were appreciated - especially the breakfast eggs - and all the rooms were ideal for our meals, games and watching sport and films when back from visits to local places of interest. The kitchen is generously equipped and the design provides space for willing helpers. It would be great to return in a warmer season and relax in the beautiful garden.
