This is a truly a unique property situated in a beautiful part of England. Overall we enjoyed our stay in the Summer House and loved watching the various birdlife from the ground floor windows. The bed is comfortable and there are plenty of drawers for your clothes, though no wardrobe. The kitchen/living room is reasonably equipped with a clever kitchen design within a dresser. The dishwasher has interesting controls which we eventually worked (no manual). There are a couple of negatives though, there were cobwebs in various places and the microwave was in a disgusting state and unusable. Overall alovely place let down somewhat by poor housekeeping.

We had a wonderful mini holiday in The Summerhouse - what a beautiful place in a beautiful setting. It was so peaceful and tranquil with lovely views. The tower was just perfect. The kitchen in the dresser was ingenious and perfectly adequate for cooking simple holiday meals! The bedroom was so light and airy and the bed was extremely comfortable. Highly recommended in all respects. Some good National Trust properties in the vicinity to visit too!

The Summer House was in a beautiful location, lovely and quiet with winding lanes. A great base to explore the many local sites and attractions. The property was clean and the enormous bed was a real treat. There were a lot of flies, considering the time of year. We suspect something had died in the roof space or nearby, given the sheer number. Luckily they mainly confined themselves to the windowsills in the stairwell, but it took the shine off the place for us. The welcome hamper was well-appreciated, but considering the location of the property, and the design for two people, it would have been nice to know in advance. Surely most people - knowing how far it is from the shops - would do shopping beforehand and bring it with them? So including a loaf of bread, eggs, milk would have been good to know because we had also bought those things. On the whole it was a lovely place to stay for a break. We had a great time exploring locally, and one rainy afternoon even had time to do one of the jigsaws! The morning light coming in through all the windows was such a revitalising start to every day.

This is such a lovely property in a gorgeous peaceful rural setting. We visited in winter when outside temperatures were subzero - perfect for using the log burner in the bedroom (wood and kindling are provided) which made it very cosy. A welcome hamper is present on arrival with essentials such as bread, milk, eggs etc..Whilst the property is small, it is perfect for a couple for a short break, and is well appointed whilst maintaining its character. Note : The staircase is quite a steep spiral, which we loved, but may not be suitable for everyone. Wroxeter Ironbridge & Much Wenlock are only short drives away and great places to visit if you like history or rural walks (or both!) We would definitely recommend!

This is a lovely quirky property and ideal for a quiet get-away. The bedroom is very comfortable with a wood-burning stove to make things cosy and windows in four of its eight sides so that light floods in. The downstairs is more basic and could benefit from some more ambient lighting to make it more homely. The fold-away kitchen has been cleverly thought out and the shower room tucked away under the stairs makes excellent use of the space available. The location is excellent for sightseeing being a ten minute drive from Shrewsbury and you're spoiled for choice in terms of stately homes, abbeys, castles and lovely towns & villages within easy reach.
