I can’t recommend this holiday house enough. The place was presented clean and tidy. Everything worked as it should. Except for the coffee machine, I couldn’t get that working but I don’t own one, so it was probably me. The rooms are huge, as are the beds. The towels and bedding are of very good quality. The kitchen is a good size with plenty of cupboard space. There are three showers, One in each of the ensuites, and a walk-in shower in the ‘family’ bathroom which is also wheelchair accessible. It’s all on one level so no stairs. The picture showed one Sofa, but it now has two, bonus! The outside seating area is a lovely touch. I spent many hours sitting, reading and listening to the birds. I would book it again at the drop of a hat. The owner popped over to tell us a couple of things that were happening locally and we went to both. Thank you for taking the effort made in keeping the place in great shape.

This property had loads of space, lots of parking, and even though we visited in October the underfloor heating kept the whole place warm without being too hot. Well equipped kitchen and great beds and bedding. Decent sized TV plus a great wood burner. Owner was super nice as well - we ran out of dishwasher tabs and he couldn’t have been more helpful. Only slight negative would be the sofa. Not that it wasn’t actually a pretty good sofa but not quite what my wife and I would have chosen - not a great fan of leather although in fairness it’s not like we didn’t know before we booked! Overall we really loved this place and would certainly consider booking again.

Very spacious. Welcoming and helpful host. Lovely location and many interesting places to visit nearby. Good quality pots and pans. Cons: more cutlery and mugs would be welcome. Needs more comfortable seating. The surface of the butchers' block table is uneven - a bottle of wine fell off it soon after our arrival, before we had learned to avoid using it. Nowhere to hang up tea towels. Fridge is rather small.

Magnifique maison de plain-pied moderne, confortable, très bien conçue, avec tout le nécessaire pour passer des moments agréables. Le temps encore un peu froid nous a permis de profiter du poêle à bois, mais pas de la terrasse, ce que nous comptons bien pouvoir faire lors d'un prochain séjour. Bien au calme et entouré de verdure, Downbridge Lodge est idéalement situé pour rejoindre les côtes du Suffolk, visiter les nombreux points d'intérêt dans la région ou essayer les pubs environnants. Stuart est un hôte charmant, aux petits soins et de très bons conseils en cas de besoin. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour, ensoleillé pour la plupart du temps, ce qui a été une agréable surprise en ce mois d'avril.
