Cosy cottage in a peaceful, secluded location. Walks from the door, we didn't have to drive anywhere over the short stay as took all our food with us. The Rural Retreats welcome hampers are excellent and we enjoyed everything that was left for us. We now use Rural Retreats as our first search point for holidays in UK.

Very well equipped , clean, warm and comfortable cottage. Excellent “hamper” and lovely Christmas tree. Only criticism is wrong info on your arrival instructions: housekeeper left that position 6 months ago, and wood store was padlocked halfway through our stay and we were told that only an initial supply of wood was provided, contrary to your info. Otherwise a great stay.

The cottage was hard to find and the information was not wholly clear. We were not informed beforehand that the cottage was at the end of a very rough track through two fields. Had we known this, because we have a car with very low ground clearance, we would not have booked this cottage.

Lovely cottage - comfortable, well-equipped, and very cosy with the wood burner going. Its situation is spectacular. The housekeeper and Rural Retreats really looked after us.

Lovely clean and well equipped cottage. Little cumbersome to access with three gates to negociate but well worth the effort. The welcome hamper was well received and generous. Plenty of information provided.

Great cottage in a lovely location. Doors are a bit awkward for taller people An ironing board would have been useful. But other than that, it was pretty perfect.
