Circular Walking in Worcestershire
Broadway Tower
If you’re looking for an easy stroll where you can take in panoramic views across 200 acres of sweeping parkland, the Broadway Tower circular has plenty to offer, including a deer park, a nuclear bunker, and an 18th-century tower.
The walk begins and ends at the Broadway Tower Car park and takes around 20 minutes to complete, not including time taken to view the excellent attractions. A Pay and Display car park is available on-site.

Diglis Loop
Starting at Worchester Bridge, the Diglis Loop (2.4mi) takes you past sights like
Worchester Cathedral and the Swan Sanctuary, as well as offering unforgettable views of the River Severn and the surrounding landscape.
The walk takes around 1 hour and 10 minutes and there are some Pay and Display car parks close to the Cathedral where the loop begins.

Malvern Hills
A stunning Area of Natural Beauty that provides a natural border between
Worcestershire and Herefordshire, Malvern Hills boasts several different hiking trails, with Worcestershire Beacon (3mi) proving one of the most popular.
The trail begins at Beacon Road car park, where Pay and Display parking is available, and takes around 1.5 hours to complete.

Lickey Hills and Barnt Green Circular
A circular route that takes you through rich, green woodland, peaceful villages and
rolling hillscapes. Experience the untouched beauty of Lickey Hills Country Park and
glimpses of the mesmerising Upper Bittell Reservoir.
The trail begins at the beautiful Lickey Hills Country Park and takes around 1 hour and 50 minutes to complete.

Long Walks in Worcestershire (over 2 hours)
Great Comberton & Bredon Hill loop from Elmley Castle
Enjoy one of the most spectacular areas of Worcestershire with unparalleled vistas
from the peak of Bredon Hill on this circular route. Spanning 6.5 miles, the loop visits peaceful pastures, shadowed by the dramatic outlines of the Malverns.
The walk takes around 4 hours to complete and begins and ends at The Queen
Elizabeth Inn, where parking is available.

Tank Quarry to British Camp
This point-to-point trail (5.0 mi) takes you across the north Malvern ridge line, promising spectacular views across the Worcestershire countryside, where you’ll likely be joined by keen birdwatchers looking out for twittering local wildlife hidden amongst the brush.
The trail takes around 3 hours to complete and can be challenging underfoot,
particularly in wet conditions. Free parking is available by the clock tower at the
northern end of the trail, or at Hollybush at the southern end.

Bredon Hill Circular Walk
This delightful circular walk (6.2mi) takes you across the beautiful Worchester
countryside, rising from the village of Elemey Castle, circling the plateau before heading back down to the starting point at The Queen Elizabeth Inn – voted Worcestershire’s Pub of the Year.
Parking is available at The Queen Elizabeth Inn and the route takes approximately 3
hours.

The Martin Brent Walk
A route that takes in some of the favourite views and places of Martin Brent, a clerk of Colwall Parish who died tragically young while still in office, including the Chase Inn – a charming pub that was known as Brent’s favourite.
The 7-mile circular route begins at Colwall station and takes around 4 hours to
complete, with parking available at the station.

Park Seat circular walk at Croome
Take a stroll around the ‘Capability’ Brown landscape within the National Trust site of
Croome, with sweeping views across the countryside, past historic buildings and acres of stunning parkland.
The route takes around 1 hour to complete, and dogs are welcome throughout the
entire route. Free parking is available on-site.

The Severn Valley from Trimpley Reservoir
Take a stroll with your four-legged friend through vast fields, and dense forests and
along the banks of the mighty River Severn, where you may even catch a glimpse of the iconic steam trains travelling along The Severn Valley Railway.
The circular trail spans 6 miles and takes around 4 hours to complete. The starting point is at the car park just north of Trimpley Reservoir where the road leads to a private waterworks access.

One of the oldest Arboretums in Great Britain, Arley Arboretum is an idyllic spot for an autumnal stroll, where the leaves of the towering trees erupt into shades of ruby, gold and saffron.

Wychavon Way
Explore the beautiful district of Wychavon on this 40-mile route that showcases some of the most untouched rural areas of Worcestershire, originally created in 1977 to
celebrate the Queen’s Silver Jubilee.
The route begins in the spa town of Droitwich and finishes in Broadway, with multipleday suggested itineraries available should you wish to experience the full 40-mile waymarked trail.

Chaddesley Woods
Experience the natural beauty of the second largest woodland area in Worcestershire that dates back to before the 13th century. The Chaddesley Chase circular route covers 3.3 miles of Worcestershire Wildlife Trust ground, where you may be lucky enough to spot some winter wildlife.
The walk takes around 1 hour 30 minutes to complete, and parking is available in laybys near the entrance.

Wyre Forest
Stroll through snow-covered trees with the family as you seek out the sleeping Gruffalo and the Gruffalo’s Child on the Wren Trail – the shortest of three trails in the idyllic Wyre Forest. This short trail is ideal for children, covering just under 1 mile of gentle forest terrain.
The walk takes less than an hour to complete, with plenty of benches along the way to relax and enjoy the enchanting wintery setting. Parking is available at the on-site Pay and Display car park.
